How to Get Credit for a NON-GCS Event, College Courses, Conferences, and Workshops Outside GCS
Carefully follow the steps below to assure your CEU credit is posted in the most timely manner possible.
Step 1	Get prior Approval for a Non-GCS Event (minimum of 5 hours) Status: Pending Approval Click here for directions
Step 2	Event Request is Approved or Denied (wait for email from Rick Cobb) If denied, the reason will be stated at the bottom of the email. Click here for more info
Step 3	Attend the Non-GCS Course, Conference or Event Status: Approved
Step 4	Get credit posted upon completion of the event Click here for directions Status: Pending Verification
Step 5	Send correct documentation to: Office of Professional Development 501 W. Washington Street Greensboro, NC 27401 Status: Complete-credit is posted to employee's transcript What is Correct Documentation? If you attended a conference, seminar, or symposium you must send three items: 1. a completed SS-4 form 2. an agenda/syllabus 3. a Certificate of Completion If you attended a College Course you must send an Official Transcript If you attended a Non-College Course you must send a Certificat of Completion showing the amount of CEU credit earned
